Cemfloor c30
Initial Brief
Based in the scenic town of St. Austell, this
project consists of a ground floor baking
factory over 630m2 and first floor office space
of similar size.
Cemfloor was chosen for this project thanks to its many benefits including easy installation and reduced drying time. Cemfloor c30 was supplied by Mac Crete, and installed by NMA Flooring. The main contractors on this project were Karl Ford Contracts.
The floor needed to be strong enough to carry the weight of the baking machines so Cemfloor c30 at 75mm was the proposed solution for the ground floor. On the first floor, heavy foot traffic and office equipment needed to be considered and Cemfloor c30 at 50mm was installed.
Time on site was limited and the screed needed to be installed in a short time frame. NMA Flooring started the pour at 8am and were offsite by 11:30am. Light site traffic work was able to commence 48 hours after the pour.
